Week 23

Surprise!

Well this week has been great! We found some more people and helped them! Which is awesome! 

Some pretty crazy stuff happened this week! We were knocking and we were pretty far away from our house. It was super cold but we knew we had a ride back from a member. So it was getting late and cold so we called him. No answer... so we called another member, no answer... eventually we ended up calling the sisters, no answer... So we send them a text message asking them to pick us up. Half hour later they pick us up and we are completely frozen. But we did survive.

We were also driving down and saw this huge convoy of cop cars and army trucks drive past and they stop at this house and all of this swat get out and apparently its a drug bust. Pretty crazy!

We had stake conference this week. It was awesome to hear from the stake and everything!

And last but not least the craziest part of the story! I just got a call 20 mins ago from the assistants that I'm going to be transferring to Martinsburg, WV tonight at 7 So I'll be in a new area tonight! It's too bad because Elder Brown is probably going to be my favorite companion.. It's super sad and it throws our plans way off. But oh well..

Week 22

Miracles upon Miracles!

This week has been great! 

We found 4 new investigators this week and they were all awesome! One of those investigators names is Alex. We found him when we street contacted his neighbor. When we were trying by his neighbor, (who didn't answer) we talked to him and said we could come back later. We taught him the restoration and we left him the Book of Mormon to read. He said we could come back tomorrow and talk about what he had read. When we got there yesterday his girlfriend was there as well! We started to talk to her about the Book of Mormon and she said that she was already a member! Turns out she was baptized here in 2004, then moved to Georgia. When she came back she lost contact with the church.

It's crazy how if we hadn't talked to his neighbor then to Alex, we wouldn't have found them! 

Steven had his interview with President Christiansen and he was given the "okay" to be baptized which is super awesome! I've been working with Steven for almost 5 months and now I'll get to see him baptized!
