Week 21

Another Six weeks in Carlisle!

Well It looks like this Wednesday is the end of mine and Elder Dameus's companionship/party in Carlisle!  I am staying in Carlisle and my new companion is Elder Brown! Hopefully he's cool!

We picked up a new investigator named Timmy Morrison. He's pretty cool! The first time we were going to meet with him he texted us and said, "Meet me around the back in this shed. I will be waiting for you." At that moment we were pretty sure we were going to die.. luckily he is super nice and we did not die!

Other than that not much else has happened! I hope ya'll are doing well and love to hear from y'all!

Week 20

This week has been crazy weather wise! Every other day it has either been snowing or 65 degrees! It down poured to the point it was flooding the streets this week! Then Saturday night we had a snow storm that canceled church! The problem is we finally got one of our investigators, Natacha, to agree to come to church! But nevertheless me and Elder Dameus did have sacrament with the sisters, that was interesting. First time having the water in mugs haha.

We also helped the legendary Brother Gibbs get his stuff for the temple so that he can take out his endowments! 73 years old and still motivated enough to get his work done! But on the other side it can be very trying on your patience to help a 73 y/o man run a computer without doing it yourself!

Missionary work has been slow per usual these past couple weeks! Only a couple lessons which not much has happened.

As usual, love ya guys and I love to hear from ya! Talk to ya next week!

Week 19

This week has been pretty rough a lot of appointments have fallen through, which means a lot of door knocking!

This week we had freezing rain and everything was covered in a sheet of ice! Luckily for us we were walking so we got to walk on that ice haha!

I went on exchanges with Elder Tucker and that was awesome! Met a lot of people and learned a lot from him!

We ate at this less active's house, Jamie Herera and she cooked us this full on Hispanic meal. Had some pretty good food and had a Tres Leche Cake which is a cake soaked in three different kinds of milk and is super good!

It was super foggy yesterday and you could hardly see! The pictures don't do it justice! By the end of the day my hair was sopping wet just from walking through the air.

We had ward conference this Sunday and in gospel principles no one was there but the missionaries! So our stake president, president Hurley taught us about missionary work!

That's all for this week! Hope you all are having a good week and I love y'all!

Week 18

Criminals...kind of..

This week has been pretty awesome! Lots of stuff to talk about!

Monday- We checked up on some potentials and door knocked the rest of the area. Two of our potentials didn't answer and one of them was in the middle of labor... so it was safe to say we couldn't teach them at the moment. As we were finishing door knocking the area we were suddenly surrounded by cops! Four Police cruisers surrounded us and they got out and asked us what we are doing here. We told them we were missionaries. They said we can't go around knocking doors without a solicitors permit. They then continued to tell us that we almost got shot because the person who called us in had said that we were going in people's garages and that they had their gun out ready to shoot us! Luckily the person who called didn't shoot us! But it is safe to say we aren't going there any time soon! (Also we talked to our mission president who said that the solicitors permit is "a bunch a bologna.")

Sadly the rest of the week was not as eventful but we did have a dinner and lesson with ex-mission president Rehm. We had a boring week until Sunday! Sunday we had a lesson with Mike a Belinda during the Super Bowl Game! Which was super awesome! I thought we weren't going to be able to get into any houses because we are in super thick Eagles territory.. but we did! That's all for this week! I hope y'all have had a good one as well!

Week 106!

Wow... It has flown by! I cannot believe how quick it has gone. 2 years, 106 weeks, 741 days. I wouldn't trade it for the world. It has...
