Week 106!

Wow... It has flown by! I cannot believe how quick it has gone. 2 years, 106 weeks, 741 days. I wouldn't trade it for the world. It has been amazing to reflect back on how much I have learned. I'm thankful I had this opportunity to learn and grow spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally. I can definitely say missions are a life changing experience!

I know the Lord is pleased with the service I have done and so am I. I am proud to say I have no regrets and have tried my hardest. I am thankful for all of my companions, they all have taught me something.

Other than that since my last email we had another baptism. Manny was baptized and he was super excited about it! The cool part about it was that Nick was able to do the baptizing! It was a very special experience!

Conference was amazing! We just watched it at the church and some members brought us some food. So we had a full on buffet and conference for ourselves haha. I'm super excited for this next upcoming conference. It will be interesting to say the least!

Elder Rose will be staying in the area and will be with one of his previous companions. He is super excited for that.

I'm excited to start this next chapter in my life and continue to learn, grow and work hard!

The Church is true, the book is blue, and I'll be done in 2 (days)!

Week 100

Last six weeks in Winchester.

I cannot believe that this is my last transfer! I'm staying as well as both my companions. I'm excited for this upcoming transfer! We hopefully will have a couple baptisms. We have one person on date named Nick, he's 18 years old. He's on date for September 7th. He is so awesome! He's already talking about going on a mission! He is super excited to get baptized.

I went on exchanges with Elder Clayton and was able to go out with some non-members to outback. We both got us some surf and turff. My first time ever having lobster! It was pretty good.

Stake conference was this weekend and it was super good it was all about missionary work and ministering. Hopefully that will help the missionary effort move forward more quickly!

This week we had around 16 people cancel on us! It's just a crazy time of the year with school starting. Pretty rough but you get used to it.

Something that stuck out to me this week as I was studying was in Jeremiah. Jeremiah talks a lot about the children of Israel either backsliding or following the Lord. I truly love that. Even in the Old testament it explains that eternal progression is the most important thing to us

Jeremiah 13

"1 Thus saith the Lord unto me, Go and get thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water.
2 So I got a girdle according to the word of the Lord, and put it on my loins.
3 And the word of the Lord came unto me the second time, saying,
4 Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.
5 So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the Lord commanded me.
6 And it came to pass after many days, that the Lord said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.
7 Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.
8 Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
9 Thus saith the Lord, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem."

10 This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.
11 For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the Lord; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.

I love this scripture because it tells us we need to cling to the lord and he will keep us pure and undefiled. That's all for this week! Love y'all!

Week 97

Westminster is Bestminister - This week has been great! A lot has happened in the short span of just a week! I don't even know where to start!

We invited two people we're teaching to be baptized, Nick and Manny. They were a little hesitant at first, but they said they would pray about a date to know when they should be baptized. We finally got Nick to church and he loved it! He said he planned on coming every week. We'll meet with him tomorrow, so hopefully that goes well!

We had zone conference this Wednesday, it was super awesome. It was super focused on the Atonement of Jesus Christ and how as apply it we become converted. I thought it was super good!

Other than that I am in my second trio this transfer! This one should be at least until the end of the transfer though. It's good to hear from ya'll! I'll talk to ya next week!

Week 89

Wow has it been a crazy week!

First off transfers were this week. My new companion is Elder Balderee. He's pretty cool. He is from Saratoga Springs. He's also only been out three months! They keep sending me all these new missionaries to keep me in line!

We have been trying to get in with this former for a few weeks now. She finally answered the door this Saturday! When she answered she said she was not interested because she had a bad experience with past missionaries. I asked her what happened. To her response she said, "Y'all believe in being baptized by the holy ghost and I don't believe in that." In my head I was think lady what are you talking about?! She continued to say she believes in the the Holy Spirit only, not the Holy Ghost. Ghosts are of the devil. So I asked her, "What's the difference between a ghost and a spirit?" she replied with, "Well, a ghost is a ghost, and a spirit is a spirit!"... Well I guess you can't argue with that. 😂😂 I read some verses in the Bible about the Holy GHOST. Of course she then said, "Well my Bible doesn't say that. It says Holy Spirit." Needless to say she was crazy. And started saying that we're going to make good fathers one day. Then she said that I was a farmboy. She could tell because I had that gurr in me. 😂😂  Whatever that means!

Now for a cool story! What happened was our landlord Tara asked us what happens when someone dies without hearing about Jesus. We then taught her the plan of salvation. It blew her mind! She had that question since she was a little kid. She said she would get kicked out of Bible school for asking that question. Then we invited our landlords Mike and Tara to an organ concert that a missionary held. They came with us and felt the spirit so strong! The next day she said she couldn't get the way she felt out of her head and new that there was something special about our church. She said, "I'm interested in joining your church, or at least see what it's about." We committed her to come to church this week and she also said she would read the book of Mormon and take notes on what she liked and any questions she had as well. Super awesome!

A lot has happened which is good! Keeps us busy and makes it go by quick! I can't believe I only have 17 weeks left! That's all for this week, love y'all!

Week 88

Heyo, this week has been awesome! But sadly Elder Baggaley is leaving, and I'm staying. My new companion is Elder Balderee. He's been out 3 months now. I guess they keep sending me the new missionaries to keep me in line haha! Today was awesome! We visited big round top and devils den on Gettysburg battlefield. It was super fun! We also got to make homemade pasta with a nonmember!

Work wise has been good we have two people on date currently and will soon have three. Two for the end of June and one for the beginning of July. Hope it works out! That's all for this week, hope all is well!
